Confectionery Shoppe
As a kid, did you ever wander away to the candy aisle while at the grocery store?  When your parents realized that you were gone, they knew where to find you!  I was a big fan of JawBreakers and Smarties​.  This series captures those times of being rewarded with sweet treats.

​​Confetti
This series draws from the Italian tradition of sugar-coated almonds (confetti) given out at celebrations.  In the western hemisphere, most know "confetti" as colored bits of paper tossed at festive occasions.  However, these paper pieces are called coriandoli in Italy.

Crack is Wack
The series title is a salute to Keith Haring's 1986 mural, as well as a throwback to Whitney Houston in her 2002 interview with Diane Sawyer.  The inspiration came when facilitating a site visit for contractors to bid a project to repair spalling at an underpass.  Think of patchy repair mortar in the presence of defacement, graffiti, patina, etc..  Much of my '9-to-5' life was spent letting major and minor construction contracts in Chicago and the DFW metro.

Feelin' Irie
The Jamaican term "irie" means 'all is fine'.  The first Feelin' Irie prototype came after a great bike-ride on Campion Trail.  The weather was ideal, and my music player dished out Reggae cuts on autoplay.

Go Play Well!  Leg Godt!
​Leg Godt is Danish for 🔊 "play well".  The toy brand LEGO®, founded in Denmark, derives its name from this phrase.  This series honors youthful energy.  Each repeating form is permitted to display its individuality whether it be an emphasis on hue selection, tint, tone, shade, or paintwork that is patchy, opaque, translucent, matte, glossy, iridescent, metallic, smooth, textured, "dirty mixed", freckled, etc.

Helio's Crescendo
Helios in ancient Greek mythology is a Sun deity.  After viewing a Sun documentary, I wondered what the sights & sounds of solar flares would be like if it was possible to be experienced up-close.  I can still visualize a solar system poster that I earned in 3rd grade from the Scholastic Book Club;  on the weekends, I'm totally fine with taking in a documentary on pulsars, quasars, black holes, etc.

Six Ways to Sunday
​I was walking a grocery aisle, when an elder lady in a motorized cart summoned me.  I thought that she needed help with items on a high shelf, but her intent was to coax me into attending her church's Sunday service.  She was persistent.  The idiom "Six Ways to Sunday" refers to handling something in every possible way.

When I was in high school, I demonstrated a mild attraction to prose and poetry.  Two of my composition + literature teachers — Mr. Stoller (freshman and senior year) and Mrs. Katz (junior year) individually pulled me to the side, and suggested that I should consider journalism.  That was news to me!  It's been awhile since secondary school... this 22-node alliteration tips my hat to them.  I never forgot those compliments.
